Hi all,
Has anyone got a good tip to reduce the swelling on the legs of my ESS, which she keeps getting a after a days beating. She gets scratched on her legs after beating through brambles.
Thanks in advance

Re: Bramble Rash
My springer suffers with the same thing- she comes up in little spot with pus in them. I am assuming its a similar thing as gardeners get from scracthes
I tend to clean the area with some stuff called hibi scrub- its what surgeons wash ther hands with its very mild and if they have burst it doesen't seem to sting as she never seems to complain. It also kills of all the bacteria which cause the spots in the first place. You can buy it on the internet and a little drop goes a long way
I also just started to put a thick cream on like sudo crean on her tummy if I know we are working / training in thicker cover. My friend does this when eventing with her horse but it is a bit messy.

Re: Bramble Rash
I clean with the alcohol hand liquid, then Sudicrem.... it is brilliant... we had some Fuciderm left over, and have used that before now...works well....Tarn tends to get the bramble rash.. but she is shorter... hope you get it sorted out
