Gundog Training Forum

This was lovely to see, Kevin Johns wins the Mitsubishi 4 x 4 at the Midland Game Fair today with his lovely spaniel Poppy. Photograph was taken by his mate John Lupton just as they announced it.

Well done to him. He played it his way and it paid off!! I'm sure John has a load more pictures of this very special day.

There's a lot of emotion in that picture, one happy man.

I think you're right Milly, I saw him just miss it last year (he was runner up) and remember thinking what a nice guy, he loves that dog to bits. This year he won but still hugged the dog before he spoke to his wife!!! He then gave a lovely speech that paid tribute to his wife for never moaning when he spends money on scurries.

I thought his name was Kevin John?
Well done Kevin

Well done Kev

Probably is......I don't know him, he's a friend of a guy I know, John Lupton, I was just watching. It was lovely to see.

I'm going on what we put on the chatsworth dog and gun. no doubt JL will put us right.

Bless that is such a lovely photo!!!
clearly one happy man and a springer who has slightly shorter legs than 6 months ago!!

Go Team Springer!

Well done Kevin. I have known Kevin for a few years as he lives quite close to me, so we've occasionally trained together. Poppy is such a sweet dog.

Wish that you could win the Springer Spanial champs and get a car!

Pop round and ask what his surname is
