Not seen him run but I do have a pup sired by him and its got everything you'd be looking for. I'm very pleased with it, just got to turn it in to a winner now.

I've seen it quite a few times and shot over it. If you want your boots polishing leave it alone but if you want a hard going aggressive hunting game finder that will hit the fiercest cover hard it may just tick your box. It is a traditional looking spaniel with a solid powerful structure and quite a thick coat. It definately won't be for everyone but I'd like it in my kennel.

whats the breeding of this dog?
If it was easy it wouldn't be so much fun.

Surely the boot polishing issue is down to training and another plus point in that a 'hard going aggressive hunting game finder' is also still trainable.

Was trying to give the best description of the dog as it was when I have seen it not what it could should or may be. If you can train "hard going agressive hunting game finder" into dogs then I'll send all my future pups up to you for training.

I don't think anyone can train it into dogs but dogs that are naturally this way are often hard to hold on to. I was just suggesting that the attributes you described didn't detract from the dogs trainability. It sounds a cracking dog from what you describe, just hope its passed it on to my pup.

I misinterpreted "trainability". How old is your pup? What bitch is it out of?
