They have lethal thorns, had a few injuries both dog and human from them.

Re: Brambles.

You will probably never know. One of mine came back covered in blood earlier this month and had more or less ripped their stopper pad right off along with the dew claw on the opposite foot. Horrible when accidents happen in the middle of nowhere and I have no idea of knowing how she did it. Taken f...

Re: Brambles.

Went back today, re-traced our steps and went from where she could've done it - couldn't find anything other than really thick branches with thorns on.

We may never know what caused it and I didn't think it was as deep as it must've been.

Re: Brambles.

Judy - I don't know - I'm guessing brambles or gorse as thats all there is around the water - she hadn't been in but there was nothing in the water as the other dogs were splashing about. But we are having a wander back up there to see if there was anything I missed. She couldn't have done it earlie...

Brambles.

Yesterday we started our day like any other. We went on a walk that is a regular. Did the same route, passed the same scenery. But within the time of 5 minutes, Pen went from being her usual self to being subdued and fannying about near me, instead of swimming in the lake like the other dogs. I thou...

Dummy with a difference.

Sorry about the title I didn't know what else to call it.

I have just enquired elsewhere about starter pistols but was told about gundog dummies that had starter caps in that would bang when the dummy hit the floor?

Does anyone know if they still exist and where I can get one?

Re: Water retrieves - Pool side!

Finally got Bryn into ours today, I had to get in first though  .......oh the hardship  It's strange how they'd all happily dive into a lake or a river - but a pool! The horrors! My friend brought her Pointer round and he wanted to get in but wasn't sure - he barked at it t...

Re: Water retrieves - Pool side!

Judy - I ain't doing that for him - he can jump in, I think it's just cold on his man hood as he tries not to get them wet  Men! Nellie - Pen is very much the same. We were going to get us (read them) a 15ft frame one, as then we could use it too but this was £60 from JTF and £100 cheaper than ...
