Re: Tick Removal
I removed a very small tick of my cockers eyelid just last night. And a further 5 from around her head, ears and one from her inside thigh. All had bitten and 2 were really deep. I can twist out with my nails if needs be, tweezers if all else that is available but i really rate the O'tom removers as...

Re: confused about vet statement regarding elbows
If the dog was in for hip scoring x-rays why not xray the elbows at the same time?? Only 1 anaethetic or sedation then required. It's certainly what I and many others no doubt do. With you having experience of problems in breeds I'd personally draw up a list of your necessary and desirable requireme...

ESS Test results
Hurrah my ESS dog Percy has had Clear results for both Fuco and Pra (Cord 1). AHT were a little slow on doing tests but credit to KC in uploading info to myKC - emailed them scanned copy of certs and details were uploaded within 36 hours.
All good stuff.
All good stuff.
Re: hello
Hi Motormad Advice is train the dog in front of you. I started with labs, then got the cocker. She is very different but oh my god how much fun. That said I trained her for picking up so she wasn't all that different in terms of what i trained for. She is a honest, working dog who will go all day. S...

Despite having a partner at the time; he was the non starter so i had sole responsibility for mum and pups. Suited me. ...

Re: Why hup?
my lab was doing that as the truck back was out of his sight level (he found he could hurdle the tailgate when closed and go through the window) surprised me and it took a few training sessions before he learnt to wait till he was told and still I need keep an eye on him if I go in the back for som...
