Hi all,
I have four cockers, one is an almost perfect beating dog, I’d like to take two at once but is this possible? How do you manage two, how do you do the whistles for instance?
Thanks

Planning training sessions.
Hi all, I have four Cockers who I am training, some far more advanced than others. Up until now I have always driven them to the area I train on and then train each one separately, getting them out of and back into the car while rotating the dogs so they all get training time. Unfortunately, I am fo...

Re: Searching...
Have a look at https://www.cockerspanieldatabase.info/en/ Start with the hip scores as not that many spaniels are scored except in Europe. Hi Sgurr, I have looked on there several times but can't find any filters to search for what I want other than working or show. Are there any others on there? A...

Hi all, I may be asking for the impossible here. For starters is it possible to find a list of field trial champion Cockers? I'm looking for a champion dog, proven, health tested clear, preferably low hip scores, not overly big and carrying tan and roan genes. Impossible? Maybe, but if anyone can po...

Ft. Ch. Gournaycourt Ginger
Hi All,
Does anyone have any info on this dog please? I have a promising young bitch and I'd like to put her to a champion in about 18 months time. I like the look of him but can't find any health testing relating to him which I find a bit strange.

Re: Noisy spaniel
Hi Naj, I'm not trying to be antaganistic but in fact I have trained several dogs to whine. I used to train dogs and other animals for television work and had them whining and howling on command. Nothing is impossible with training dogs if you know what motivates them and how to build on that. Unfor...

Re: Noisy spaniel
Naj, with all due respect I disagree with your opinion. If the behaviour was still being caused by an underlying emotional issue then such huge progress would not have been made so quickly. The behaviour has become a habit and the habit can be broken by interrupting the thought/behaviour process. If...

Re: Noisy spaniel
My trainer gave her a "lesson" and she is now much quieter and will stop with a stern voice correction. It's an ongoing process but so far so good. I also exercise/train her longer before going to classes/tests. Working well at the moment.

Re: Noisy spaniel
An update on this. She is much quieter now and improving all the time. Almost silent while training alone and hugely better even in the presence of other dogs/water. She is also much, much quieter in the car traveling to training. I know she's not "cured" but the improvement is immense. Th...
