i have a spaniel that can sniff a cup of tea out a mile awayJudy wrote:I had a Flatcoat that loved tea, milk two sugars please. She would also eat used tea bags if she could find them, walking her down to school on bin day was a nightmare, she'd surf every bin bag that had been split open by cats or whatever, just in case there was a tea bag she could grab on the way by.
Too many Springers, and Roxie the black cocker.

and if you leave your mug on the floor and walk away, its his!
It doesnt help that my OH used to give him the dregs of his tea in his bowl when he was a pup!
If it was easy it wouldn't be so much fun.

Rolo likes to lick the tea off of your fingers (well hubbys cos i refuse to put my fingers back in my cup after), so he is lucky if he gets the very last dregs of mine and he isnt allowed it straight from the cup.

The only things my dogs wont eat is cucumber and shrimps. Old lugworm is a particular favourite.

Re: Pilchards in tomato sauce?
I read somewhere that if you give tomato juice to a bitch it neutralises their pee so it doesnt burn your nice green lawn . Not tried it out as we have hardly any green grass left
Quite true that tomatoes aggravate arthritic conditions in us humans .......in dogs , I have no idea .
Sadie loves sardines in oil , I think I'll steer clear of the ones in tomatoe sauce .....for now !

My Dad was a dog trainer in the army. Swears cold tea (remains of pot) is great for the coat, always given it to our dogs. Moss does OK on it.
I don't let him have processed human food tho, 'cept plain tinned salmon. (Wild)
