Thought I'd just remind you all of the question.Bongadav wrote:I'm thinking ahead here. Is anyone planning a litter using Rothievale Medlar, or Murrayeden Appollo or perhaps Halaze Oh Boy as sire around October. That would make the pups ready around febuary? I realise its a bad time to find a pup but my circumstances dictacte.
Thanks

Re: ESS Litter
I've used one at stud and had a pup from a bitch I bred by another. I thought it reasonable to ask the question
Perhaps threads where questions are answered with simple yes or no would be preferable?
Wouldnt do much for content discussion or debate, the very fuel that keeps sites like this alive.

Three pages and no-one's answered the OP's question, I'm surprised anyone bothers to post. Sites are kept alive by people answering OP's questions, its called helping each other.

Ok - as dawnrazor pointed out to me I read the original post wrong, have been to specsavers and put brain cell in.Bongadav wrote:I'm thinking ahead here. Halaze oh boy of woodash is now 12, his pedigree is more of the older fashioned (if you like), not sure if he's still going? A steady dog who did nothing wrong. Well built.
Rothivale medlar is 5, lovely looking, won quite quickly, can be a bit naughty.
Murryeden appollo is 5, lovely looking, very strong, quite hard (not in mouth or anything),can be naughty. Again, won quite quickly.
These dogs have pros and cons - they are all different, you will have to look at the bitch line to decide which mating will suit you, depending on what you want the dog for. Others on this forum may say different things about them.
Judy - is this more of the answer you were after?
Re: ESS Litter
An Answer to your question. No
If any of them was suitable to put over my bitches I would probably be hesitant to use them bar Medlar. Not that there is anything wrong with the dogs, but iv'e seen Ozzy and ive seen some of his pups, just not my cup of tea. Ive never seen the Woodash dog so wouldn't use him.
Medlar ive seen run at the champs albeit it wasn't his best display, but i like his conformation and i've seen some of his pups, which i really liked. I also like his bitch line.
But again il be using his uncle Larch.

Re: ESS Litter
It's the wrong time of year for most breeders as the OP knows. Maybe contact the stud owners Bongadev and they can let you know about matings at the right time.
Re: ESS Litter
I think this may well be what the OP was asking for, yes, so thank you for that. Its a shame that threads deteriorate without anyone ever bothering to answer the original question sensibly.deefer+tag wrote:Judy - is this more of the answer you were after?Bongadav wrote:I'm thinking ahead here. Brilliant answer but sarcastic and pointless, if you have nothing to say don't post.beechessam wrote:Ok
