Tapatalk?

Post by Hepe »

I just upgraded my mobile and my account to free mobile surf. It seems a lot of forums got an app making it easier to read and use the forum. One popular such is tapatalk ( http://www.tapatalk.com/) and i wonder if this forum got it enabled? It's not super important but since two other forums i visit frequently got it enabled i ponder to get it. just being able to be online wherever and whenever is huge news for me to be honest.

Anyone using it able to tell if it's worth spending a quid?

Perhaps if more donated to the site, it could be used

The app is free for me to implement but users pay to download it from android/apple, that's how they make their money.

I had this question the other day from another member and this is my rational for not implementing it although I am aware that many use the site on their phones and something like this could be good.

There seems to be some consternation on the PHPBB3 [this brand of forum] forums as the tapatalk developers seem evasive in getting official approval that their app is certified as working with the PHPBB3 core.

My feeling is that until it is officially accepted as a MOD on PHPBB3 I will not install it in case there are vulnerabilities or security issues that surround it.

Thanks for the answer. Definitely better to be safe than sorry when it comes to add things to the forum.
