I feed all boney stuff frozen for the very purpose of slowing my gannets down!

I was warned against feeding frozen from my local pet food place, can unsettle the dogs gut apparently?

Never seemed to bother my clown!

Nah, that's been disproven, people used to think it caused bloat, but it's fine.

A few years ago, I went dog sledding in Lapland. The sled dogs were fed once a day, and each received a lump of raw, fatty mince, hacked off from a frozen slab and fed to the dogs still frozen. They were the epitome of canine fitness, and would pull the sleds all day.

That's the only problem with feeding meat, if you run out or feel you cannot fill a friends freezer with dog meat you can get some very dirty looks !

I'm soft and buy eye wateringly expensive freeze dried raw for stay away feeding, though I do give mine a handful of kibble in the evenings just so they don't forget what it is!
