Re: Neutering
If you've only one or two dogs a bitch in season in the middle of the shooting season is a pain in the backside though
Re: Neutering
Better to miss a bitch for a week or three than to have a love sick dog that never keeps its mind on work - seen a few Labs (mostly) and the odd Springer that is less interested in work that in following around any bitch in the team. Guess thats the owner's fault for not getting a grip on the dog (preferably round its bloody neck).

Re: Neutering
None of my entire dogs have ever taken any notice of in-heat bitches when they are working on a shoot day.
Inside every springer, no matter how well trained, is an idiot trying to get out

Does anyone have experience of using Delvosteron injections to temporarily supress a bitch's seasons? Miesque?
I would appreciate factual information and first hand experience if anyone willing to share.
