Searching...

Post by pejay »

Hi all,
I may be asking for the impossible here. For starters is it possible to find a list of field trial champion Cockers? I'm looking for a champion dog, proven, health tested clear, preferably low hip scores, not overly big and carrying tan and roan genes. Impossible? Maybe, but if anyone can point me in the right direction I'd be very grateful. Thanks.
Dogs: Ebony, black cocker bitch, Hattie, blue roan cocker bitch, Twizzle, black cocker bitch and Bailey, chocolate and tan cocker bitch.

Have a look at https://www.cockerspanieldatabase.info/en/

Start with the hip scores as not that many spaniels are scored except in Europe.

Hi Sgurr,
I have looked on there several times but can't find any filters to search for what I want other than working or show. Are there any others on there? Am I just being blind/thick?

She is mostly Wernffwrd, Mallowdale, Maesdderwyn and Wetlands. Any suggestions?

Hi,

You have to Register and have an account - it is free - and only then do you get full access.
Filters for Working/Show, all the clinical examinations e.g. hips, eyes, all the DNA health tests, Clears, Carriers and Affected plus Clear by Descent, Carrier by Descent, Carrier by Parentage (of an Affected). Colours and Awards shown on pedigrees and calculation of COI is available.

You may be looking for a needle in a haystack as so few UK spaniels are hip scored, but best of luck.

Good luck!
