Deerhunter trousers

Post by trekmoor »

I bought a pair of these trousers over two years ago. Since then I have given them a lot of wear. Dog training, all sorts of fishing and at shoots. Today I waded through thigh deep snow for at least half an hour in them and yet my legs remained dry and warm.

Just thought I'd give credit where credit is due.

And for the ladies.....http://se.scottcountry.com/products_det ... uctID=3821 I wear these and they didn't let me down either on Wednesday when I was wading about in it for the best part of a day. :-D They have a nice snuggly fleece lining too I did put some ordinary denier tights on under them though and I was warm and dry the whole day.

I've got a deerhunter jacket. The only fault I can find with it is if the temperature is not below 5 degrees I am too warm!

Quality stuff.

If we are giving credit where credit is due then i have to mention my Jahtijakt Suit...everyone seems to wear them down here.. tight bu**ers in Devon.......

http://www.arcticoutdoor.co.uk/shop/htt ... od_88.html

I bought my suit 2yrs ago.. its on its third season... i got the Jacket, Trousers, lined fleece jacket, fleece thermals, thin thermals, cap, hi vis vest, insect net!! if any one would like the insect net i would be more than willing to post i have no use for it....http://www.arcticoutdoor.co.uk/shop/acc ... od_63.html

The package was then £180 came next day, and it has never let me down, always dry and cosy, too cosy at times, when climbing thro the woods... us mere beaters work hard you know....sometimes!!!

Its a good package to start with and having all the combinations of thermals you can mix and match according to the weather, last week i wore thin and fleece thermals on top half.......and i was cosy all day......except my feet of course which were WET....... :brickwall: :brickwall:

And the boots cost nearly as much as the whole package......
Live life to the full, at all times.............

I wear the Deerhunter Ram Hitena trousers.

Warm as toast not needed long-johns yet this season and the Hitenafront means you don't need chaps. I wear these with matching gaiters early in the season they are warm and dry even in the most horrid of weather. :-D

On top I wear a Kammo http://www.ekmpowershop1.com/ekmps/shop ... ak-6-p.asp
Had it ten years reproof every year and it gets me home dry every day! :-D

Timely post ..was thinking of new trousers , currently wear Seeland Beaters but not impressed for the money..two years old and look about 20...and the others gave up the ghost after just two seasons ...often wondered if DH was an OK brand as prices seem keen .
One item I do favour is Duckdry...had a camo coat for 10 years now and it still looks and performs brilliantly .

I have the matching coat that i bought at a game fair last summer and im very pleased with it having had a few Deerhunter coats before all of which have been brilliant in my opinion

The have a really nice high back as well that stops draughts up your back. I love mine.

I wore them in the snow last week and while they were wet on the outside I was completely dry.

I'm in my third winter of wearing a pair of these, to be honest I wear them all year round, spot on for the money.
