STUD DOG FTCH DAWSON LEE CHANCE

Post by copsecott »

Hi. Has anybody got any young dogs sired by FTCH Dawson Lee Chance, I'm looking at using him on my bitch.
I would just like to know if anybody who has used him is happy with what he has produced.

This year, I used an unproven, 2 year old dog that had not yet been trialled and had only mated one bitch before. I felt very strongly that the dog complimented my bitch and had watched this dog from a pup and loved him in every way. Sometimes it pays to think outside of the box rather than follow the masses. This dog has won in his first season of being trialled and the pups he has produced are absolute crackers with real potential so it paid off. That said, the bitch was already a known producer of 2 x FTW/OFTW.

Good luck with the mating, let us know how you get on!

Hi Helen, could you pm me the breeding of Kevin please as i've now changed my mind as to the dog Im going to use. So its back to drawing board, I have a couple of dogs in mind but need to look at it in more detail first.
Thanks
If it was easy it wouldn't be so much fun.

I'm also swithering James on my choice of stud dog for Berry, I'm starting to think I would be daft not to use Laddie before he gets too old and use Gaffer next time.....just can't decide. My main reason for not using Laddie was because I'd encouraged David to go and use him on Berry's sister of whom i am getting a pup so wasn't sure if having 2 the same way bred would be a good plan....decisions decisions.....

Just realised going back to thinking outside the box with Dawson Lee Chance, I also used an 'unknown' FTW dog who had never mated a bitch before to produce my OFTW and a FTW, only 2 pups went to trial homes, it was a cracking litter and I used him because I liked the lines behind him.

I looked into it a lot more and I dont wish t double up on a dog thats there so know im looking at another possability. I've had a good look at the pedigree and now just need to look at the dog in more detail realy. Im trying to think of future breeding and what I already have blood line wise in the kennel, if it was just about 1 pup then it would'nt matter, but im trying to produce my own stuff to win with.
Well thats the plan so fingers crossed.
