Re: FT Ch CHEWEKY BOVRIL
is one of the two, i have thought about for my bitch, but if i do take a litter from her, it wont be for another 2 years, luckily he is only 35 or so miles form my house.
as yourself, everything i have seen and heard about him is good, and i seen it at the championships, and looked a good dog, and pretty laid back when it was on the lead.

That seems to be the general thought on him.....wish we were as close.....were more like 300 miles away! But were not bothered about the journey for the right dog....

Cracking dog, cant go far wrong there. I'd like to have used him but his father is cateran so too close. Martin does alot of picking up and beating with his trial dogs so it is testament to the dog that he go out and win a trial year after year. I've travelled 600 miles to use the right dog, it's mad but it's worth it!

A great choice but What made you decide to use bovril? what are you wanting him to pass onto your next pup?scottishquine wrote:We are looking to have Tarn covered in about 12 months time....we are pretty set on Rooney (Bovril) just wanted to know any other fowk who have seen/met or had dealings with him....So far have heard nothing but good things about him..just wonderd what others have thought of him.........

Re: FT Ch CHEWEKY BOVRIL
We checked his pedigree, and he has lines that Tarn has way back in hers...we want to bring those lines back into play more..... also he is from what we have learned a lovely steady dog...we don't want to use a hotty....Our dogs live in the house, and they all are very good at switching off in the house....but are raring to go when working....so we wanted a similar dog....and he has great proportions, but not too big a dog....liverandwhite wrote:A great choice but What made you decide to use bovril? what are you wanting him to pass onto your next pup?scottishquine wrote:We are looking to have Tarn covered in about 12 months time....we are pretty set on Rooney (Bovril) just wanted to know any other fowk who have seen/met or had dealings with him....So far have heard nothing but good things about him..just wonderd what others have thought of him.........

Re: FT Ch CHEWEKY BOVRIL
I have a bovril pup (18 mths) , he is great looking, he is quite tall (as big as my springer), great game finder, he is a bit noisey, very affectionate and sensitive needs very gentle handling. I love him to bits I have found him to be querky, but then he is my first cocker so maybe thats a cocker thing.
I recently saw gournaycourt ginger and thought he looked a great prospect has anybody looked at him?

I have only had Labs before we got Tarn.......definately a very different style of dog!!!! Tarn sounds very similar....have to say we are excited, heard nothing but good things about Rooney....spaniel fan wrote:I have a bovril pup (18 mths) , he is great looking, he is quite tall (as big as my springer), great game finder, he is a bit noisey, very affectionate and sensitive needs very gentle handling.
