Four New Hints & Tips Training Videos

Post by Duffryn »

I've just finished filing four new gundog training hints and tips videos with a friend :-

1. Delivery Training

2. Retreive Training

3. Teaching Steadiness

4. Directional Training

We didn't have any money to produce these so they were done on a shoe string - please by kind with your comments . Positive crticism welcome ! If people think they are any good we may well shoot some more

I agree that inexperienced owners like myself can induce the spitting.
Keen to start too early.
Good to see enthusiasm for the retrieve or at least the fetch and because you don't start at the begining you allow bad habits to form without realising what your doing.
And you don't realise how hard it is to undo a bad habit

hi nice vids!

can you add a bit more about your stud dogs, ie talk about them first, their pedigree, what you like about them, their strengths, then hunt them, and do a retrieve or 2.
I was looking at your Max (Beggarbush Taff of Pantfarm) but although he hunts ok, i know nothing about his pedigree and whether he would suit my bitch or not? :ugeek:
Too many Springers, and Roxie the black cocker.

speaking from a novice point of view i really liked them , nice clear and basic instruction i.e. not too much so as making it difficult for a beginner to take in .
If I had watched the video about dummy spitting when i got my first pup it would have saved me alot of heartache, was interesting that you said it will take time of which I agree with , i am usually surprised when I hear people say they can cure it in days but there again what do I know I am just a beginner in this brilliant hobby :D

Thanks we didn't want the videos to advertise anything, they are there purely as tips. I've sent a pm with Kevin's website address that has all the info you are after.

All the best

As I know Kevin I have waited to see what the reaction would be, I know this would be something he would think long and hard about before doing. Kevin always turns up with something very well sckooled and it was great to see him get to the champs this year, best of luck with the video's and web site.
If it was easy it wouldn't be so much fun.

Haven't watched them all, just the delivery one, but I'd say very nicely filmed and produced
