As a handler, its impossible to make your dog perform better than it is, but very easy to make it perform far worse.

Without cows there would be no steak nor cheese....

We had a visitation whilst training last year, starting pistol didn't worry them a bit but one of the lads blew the stop whistle and the cows all ran off, it was a 211.5 obviously not a pitch they like. Wonder if its worth having one in your pockets? To be scrupulously honest I wouldn't have been standing there if I hadn't had a couple of big blokes with me and a car close by.

 I wasnt scared, poor dog was though, I told her to do as she pleased and she proceeded to peg it down the valley and hide in the middle of some brambles at the bottom of the hill ... left me for dead :snooty: .

And yes it was those same cows....just the next field up the hill.

why do people of obvious limited knowledge think they know more about breeding quality cockers than the top breeders in the UK .
