I went to see them last night. The older bitch is very steady, happy to potter about the place with the other dogs. The dog is different. When they are let into a secure paddock (2 acres) he runs around the perimeter like a greyhound, no interest in the other dogs. We did a bit of work with him 1-2-1 and his recall was good. He has bonded hard and fast to his new owner which was great to see, but at the moment if he was let off in the yard with the other dogs he may disappear. There is a shoot which wraps around the owners house and land, so temptation is everywhere.
We will keep focusing on his recall, steadiness and heel work.
