When I went to pick up the dogs I was told that they had just settled in as if they lived there all the time. However, Merlin had knocked a hole in the head of one the kennel girls and she had a big lump over her eye

Re: Jokes
The wine was brilliant. We did the pilgrimage to Santiago De Compostela and behond
I have my Scallop Shell to prove it
The paradors were excellent but the wine and the seafood were even better. We went with friends and after two bottles of Alberino Mike and Brian would burst into song the favourite being 'To Be a Pilgrim'. The third time that they got thrown out of a restaurant they stopped doing it We did a scenic detour up a mountain [Mike was driving and is prone to doing detours] and saw a Brittany herding sheep. This is why they are known as a versatile little dog

Me, Ghillie the Champion, Merlin the Mad. Brittanys were bred as poachers dogs.....They were an extension of the old rogue's arm, trained to look innocent and unprepossessing, all the time plotting, thinking, scheming to make game!

A big London lawyer went pheasant shooting in rural Northumberland
He shot and dropped a bird, but it fell into a farmer's field on theother side of a fence. As the lawyer climbed over the fence, an elderly farmer drove up on his tractor and asked him what he was doing.
The lawyer responded, "I shot a pheasant and it fell in this field, and now I'm going to retrieve it."
The old farmer replied, "This is my property, and you are not coming over here."
The indignant lawyer said, "I am one of the best trial lawyers in the London and, if you don't let me get that pheasant, I'll sue
you and take everything you own.
The old farmer smiled and said, "Apparently, you don't know how
we settle disputes in Northumberland. We settle small disagreements
like this; with the "Three Kick Rule."
The lawyer asked, "What is the Three Kick Rule?"
The Farmer replied, "Well, because the dispute occurs on my land,
I get to go first. I kick you three times and then you kick me three
times and so on back and forth until someone gives up."
The lawyer quickly thought about the proposed contest and
decided that he could easily take the old codger. He agreed to
abide by the local custom.
The old farmer slowly climbed down from the tractor and walked
up to the attorney. His first kick planted the toe of his heavy steel
toed work boot into the lawyer's groin and dropped him to his
knees. His second kick to the midriff sent the lawyer's last meal
gushing from his mouth.
The lawyer was on all fours when the farmer's third kick to his
rear end, sent him face-first into a fresh cow pie.
The lawyer summoned every bit of his will and managed to get to
his feet. Wiping his face with the arm of his jacket, he said,
"Okay, you old fart. Now it's my turn."
[I love this part....]
The old farmer smiled and said, "Nah, I give up. You can
have the pheasant."

Re: Jokes
After being up on the moor counting grouse,my friend and I returned to the Landrover in time to see something fall from the bonnet. One of my friends dogs ran round to investigate and seconds later we heard a loud yelp. When we caught up with the dog it was obvious it had been bitten. After a visit to the Vets all was well. However, my friend and I could not remember what the Vet said had probably bit the dog. I think it was a poisonous snake. A very knowledgeable friend told us it must have been an adder, but that wasn`t what the Vet said. We told him if he could think of a few more we would recognise it when he said it. Our knowledgeable friend continued to inform us that the only poisonous snake in Britain is the adder. When we again said that was not what we were told our knowledgeable friend became quite aggressive, saying THERE IS ONLY ONE POISONOUS SNAKE IN BRITAIN AND THAT IS AN ADDER. I DON`T CARE WHAT YOUR ------ VET SAYS IT`S AN ADDER. This conversation lasted almost an hour before my friend received a text , supposedly from the Vet, and he turned to our knowledgeable friend and said ` You see you were wrong ,the Vet`s just told me it wasn`t an adder it was a windscreen viper`,much to the amusement of the rest of us having a coffee.
This is a true story told during a break in shooting. Our knowledgeable friend always has the answer to any question and we thought it would funny to bring him down a peg. He did see the funny side and laughed along with the rest of us.

ALL DOGS GO TO HEAVEN
This is literally a “church signs” debate, being played out in a southern town, between the Catholic church and a Presbyterian church that face each other across the street. From top to bottom, you will see the response and counter-response over time. The Catholics are displaying a much better sense of humor. You get the impression that the Presbyterians are actually taking this seriously!

In life, it is important to know when to stop arguing with people and simply let them be wrong.
