NWCGT

Post by alpha »

Due to the success of the club and some of the novice dogs moving up we have vacancies for novice dogs:

Age 7 months + we will teach everything upto:
Sit Stay
Stop Whistle
Basic Retrieves
and some directional work

and due to demand we are now able to provide a 2nd intermediate/advanced class that will teach

Drop to shot & flush
Intro to shot
intro to water
Handling and directional work.

for those who get to competent level we will then be doing:
Mock tests and trials
Rabbit shooting on the York Moors
Pigeon shooting and game days to simulate a days walked up shooting ...the club hopes to be able to subsidise these events to keep them within every ones budget.
The following year we are hoping that we may be able to do some competitive tests
Im sure at some point we will be having a barbecue with some more fun type stuff scurries and time trial retrieves etc.

these will run the 3rd Sunday of everymonth

Hi guys now the silly season is over and due to the success of last year we will be starting training again on the 1st sunday of every month and currently have 4 novice slots and 2 advanced ones left.

We already have enough interest to do another day as well perhaps mid month but that is likely to be for the more competitive amongst us as it will concentrate on the skills you need to handle a dog at a trial (or proper picking up lol) and the training will be aimed at dogs and handlers at this level.

As always all are welcome novice in the morning and advanced in the afternoon look forward to seeing some new faces
