Hello All
Hello All
Hi All
just a quick intro
My name is Glenn.
I live in York North Yorks
I've been popping in here now and again recently and think its a great fun forum so i took the liberty of joining.
I have owned a few dogs in my time
starting with my lurcher Dudley when i was 17. He was the sweetest, softest, friendliest ,thieving, robbing, hunting dog i've ever come across but what a mate.
followed by my springer Duke smashing little honest dog . worked superbly with the hawks but sadly died at 4 years with the big C.
followed by Plumb the brittany. Begged her of a keeper mate when Duke died at 18 months old. She never let me down and made 15. What a lady!
Followed by Molly the brittany. Got her as a pup and as family life got busier she never got the training for the field but she was a fab pet and best mate to my son.He always says she was so daft cos she was born on April Fools day.Mol died about 3 years ago and we have had a dog holiday ever since.
But i've polished the old dusty shotgun now i have time on my hands and the old times have come flooding back.
Started doing a bit of roost shooting and lost the odd bird i know a good dog would find.
So my dilemma is which model of mate to share it with...
i'm favouring a springer for the shooting but i shot over Plumb and they were both super but different.
Any way thats me and i look forward to chatting with you all.

In life, it is important to know when to stop arguing with people and simply let them be wrong.
